Legislative advocacy
Aside from providing educational materials and opportunities, Let's Learn About Public Health! also advocates for legislative reform in regards to elementary public health education standards, because public policy is the best way to enact long-lasting and effective change.
Speech to district board of education
In July 2021, Melody spoke at the Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Education meeting to encourage incorporating more public health instruction into Santa Ana elementary schools. Watch her speech here:

Speak at the California State Board of Education to advocate for the amendment of existing elementary health curricula to include more public health standards

Work with a local Congressperson to create and pass a bill about elementary public health education
